This medal recognition event is a first for RSTMH, we feel it is important that our medal and award winners receive the recognition they deserve and what better way than a presentation followed by an informal drinks reception.

We are delighted to confirm that we’ll be hearing keynote speeches from Baron Peter Piot and Dr Kebede Deribe, who were awarded RSTMH medals last year. Plus we are making history by awarding the joint George Macdonald  medal (a triennial award in recognition of outstanding research leading to improvment of helath in the tropics.to two incredible researchers. 

Please do join us at the Manson Lecture Theatre, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Keppel Street, London, WC1E 7HT on Friday 8th September from 5pm.

A new event to launch our new strategy - registration open
