Get involved
No matter where you are based, your career stage or what discipline you work in, you can be part of a worldwide community working in tropical medicine and global health, in which every person can make a difference and gain knowledge and experience.
As well as becoming a member, submitting your work to our journals, applying for funding and attending our events, there are lots of other ways you can get involved with the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
Become a Student Ambassador
Our Student Ambassador programme gives students the opportunity to act as a voice for their fellow peers.
We are always looking for bright, inspiring young people to help bridge the gap between students, institutions and the Society.
Are you a student interested in finding out how you could help guide our activities, strategy and impact?

Become a Country Ambassador
Our Country Ambassadors ensure that researchers and professionals based across the world know about how we can support their careers; from providing grants and travel scholarships to helping them to get published, or speak at one of our international events.
They also help inform and influence our work at strategic level and in our day-to-day activities through their advice.
Are you a prominent expert in tropical medicine and global health in your country?

Join our team of Global Assessors

Offering some of your time as a Global Assessor provides a unique opportunity to help those starting out in their careers in tropical medicine and global health to access funding, scholarships and present their work to the community, maybe for the first time.
Are you a senior professional in tropical medicine and global health? Do you have an eye for detail?
