Dr Elizabeth Elhassan

Elizabeth Elhassan obtained her BSc and MSc in Physiology and PhD in veterinary pathology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Her career covers decades of work in research and the development sector, working with the Nigerian Institute for Trypanosomiasis Research, Sightsavers and other partners. Her experience spans a number of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) - Human African Trypanosomiasis, Onchocerciasis, Trachoma and Lymphatic filariasis. Dr. Elhassan's areas of interest include the elimination of NTDs, health system strengthening, evaluation, sustainability, capacity building of young scientists in research and reviewing submissions for peer reviewed journals.
