RSTMH is committed to promoting global health through the prevention and control of infectious and other diseases that disproportionately affect the global poor. We do this through our scientific meetings, our peer-reviewed journals, Transactions and International Health, and our grants programme.
We receive no statutory funding income, so rely on the support of individuals and organisations to raise the significant funds we need. Every donation helps us extend our support for people working in tropical medicine and global health.
Other ways to give
Through the workplace
If you are a UK taxpayer payroll giving is an easy and tax efficient tax way to support our work as you can make donations direct from your gross salary so that a donation of £10 only costs you £8. If you would like to support RSTMH in this way, please check with your payroll or HR department to see if a scheme is already in place. If there is they can provide a form so you can nominate the RSTMH and specify your chosen donation. Then on each payday, your donation will automatically be taken from your gross salary and donated to our work.
If your employer does not have a scheme in place they can set one up very easily and we are on hand to offer help and advice. Email us on email@example.com or call +44 (0)20 7405 2628.
When a beloved person dies, how can we best remember them? Many people immediately think of a good cause, which was close to the heart of the person who has gone, or which they support themselves. They might arrange for donations to their favourite charity, instead of flowers, at the funeral. Many also like to make a regular practice of giving on an anniversary or simply when the person comes to mind.
RSTMH can set up an in memoriam fund to commemorate the life of your loved one, bearing the name of the person and dedicated solely to their memory. The fund can be used to support a particular aspect of our work or it can be used where it's needed most. It can be a focus for family, friends and colleagues who can also contribute to the fund, long after that special person has gone.
