Donations, big or small, help us support those working in tropical medicine and global health to save lives, fight diseases and improve access to health. They help us to deliver and achieve more.
RSTMH aims to save lives
RSTMH aims to save lives and improve health around the world through increased access to and greater equity in health.
We achieve this by supporting our members in their careers, bringing together their knowledge and expertise, and using our own experience and power to convene to call for change and drive impact.
We work within the context of the Sustainable Development Goals, recognising how poverty, as well as social, political and environmental factors prevent progress. Our work involves tackling both infectious and non-communicable diseases, always prioritising the people and areas most affected.
Recognising excellence and supporting research
We fund, publish, showcase and promote all stages of research through our small grants programme, international meetings and events, and peer-reviewed journals. We recognise excellence in the field through medals and awards, and engage in policy work and career development.
We receive no funding from governments and so rely on the support of individuals to raise the significant funds we need.
Every donation helps us to do more to support those working in tropical medicine and global health. This could include reaching more people, providing more small grants, convening more discussions through meetings and events, influencing more outcomes through policy work and improving careers.
We are always very happy to receive donations by post
