Dr Mian Muhammad Awais

Dr. Awais is Associate Professor of Parasitology at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Pakistan. He is also Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy, UK. His research expertise encompasses different aspects of One Health at human- animal-environment interface. He has a special interest in epidemiological mapping and control of zoonotic diseases in economically deprived communities. Currently, he is working as Principal Investigator of different research projects around the theme of One Health funded by national funding agencies. He has authored >70 publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and serves on the editorial board of many reputed ISI-indexed journals. He is recipient of various national/international awards including Emerging Leaders Award-2022 by Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene-UK, AMBO Fellowship Award from NSTDA, Best Young Scientist Award and Research Productivity Award by Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of Pakistan.
