Saffiatou Darboe

Saffiatou Darboe is a microbiologist and early career researcher at the Medical Research Council Unit The Gambia at LSHTM with an interest in strengthening diagnostics microbiology capabilities for improving antimicrobial resistance surveillance and implementation of laboratory quality management system. Her research is focused on using whole genome sequencing to investigate for highly pathogenic lineages in bacteria to improve diagnostics and AMR surveillance.
