Dr Elizabeth George

Dr Elizabeth George is a senior statistician at the Medical Reseach Council Clinical Trials Unit at UCL, UK. She studied Mathematics and Statistics as undergraduate (MSci) at Lancaster University before going on to study MSc in Medical Statistics from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She then studied for a PhD in Infection and Population Health from UCL alongside working on clinical trials in infectious disease including HIV and malaria with a focus on pragmatic clinical trials in hospitalised children in sub-Saharan Africa. Currently she is part of a research consortium looking at new adjunctive treatments for children with severe malaria alongside research in sickle cell disease, gastroenteritis and paediatric severe anaemia.
