
Dr Krithiga Shridhar
Dr. Krithiga Shridhar is a Consultant Epidemiologist at the Centre for Chronic Disease Control, New Delhi, India; Senior Research Scientist at the Centre for Health Analytics Research and Trends at the Trivedi School of Biosciences; Adjunct Associate Professor at the Public Health Foundation of India, Gurugram.
She is involved in scientific research, teaching, mentorship, and capacity building, focusing on cancer prevention and control in India. Her work in cancer spans burden and risk factors assessment, biological mechanisms, screening and early detection, referral pathways, and survival. She is trained in quantitative data analytics including complex multi-level modelling, survival analysis and the concepts of mediation and confounding. She gained fundamental understanding and application of the principles of molecular epidemiology through mentored training. She received her clinical doctoral degree in Periodontics at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India and post-doctoral training in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London, UK. She works with population-based cancer registries, large government cancer institutes, NGOs, and domestic and international academic institutes towards understanding cancer risk and survival.
