Dr Cheick Oumar Doumbia

Dr. Cheick Oumar Doumbia is a Malian epidemiologist and clinical investigator currently affiliated with the University Clinical Research Center at the University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (UCRC-USTTB). He earned his Medical Doctorate from USTTB and holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Disease Control from the School of Public Health at the University of Ghana (SPH-UG), where he was awarded the World Health Organization's Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (WHO-TDR) postgraduate scholarship.

Dr. Doumbia's expertise was further enhanced during his tenure as a Visiting Researcher at the infectious disease epidemiology department of Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (BNITM) in Hamburg, Germany. This experience broadened his perspective on global health challenges, particularly in the field of tropical disease research.

His research covers a wide range of topics within infectious disease epidemiology, and he actively collaborates with international organizations within UCRC to advance tropical medicine and public health in Mali.
