Dr Keneth Iceland Kasozi

Research Associate, Kabale University School of Medicine (KABSOM), Uganda

Dr Kasozi is an Infection Medicine scientist with expertise in integrative biomedical sciences. This has made him a great team player on the multidisciplinary research projects that he has participated on to date.

Dr Kasozi has worked with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Local Government in Uganda where they worked to improve and strengthen disease diagnosis of satellite laboratories in Uganda. This has subsequently nurtured his interest in infection medicine and currently, COVID-19 pathophysiology, epidemiology, surveillance, public health and genomics for vaccinology.

Furthermore, he doubles as a Chemical Hazard Control Expert with an interest in ecotoxicology and evolutionary biology (major in pathogens). Interest in translational research is shaped by interest to develop novel strategies that contribute to healthy livelihoods and healthy communities in our ecosystem.
