Dr Kingsuk Misra
Kingsuk Misra is a health systems expert working in Health Systems Strengthening and its social determinants in an integrated manner. He has strong understanding of the health system in South Asia and has contributed to various National & State level health programs there, particularly in: Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child Plus Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A); Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs); the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) including antimicrobial resistance, HIV/AIDS; substance abuse; and immunization programs. He has also been part of multi-country evaluations, operations research, third party monitoring, costing analysis and Value for Money reviews of NTD programs in several African & Asian countries. He previously worked with WHO in its Polio eradication and NTD programs and with various other programs supported by multilateral, bilateral and private donors. Dr. Misra is a graduate in Medicine and Surgery from Calcutta University, India. He completed his MPhil in Hospital and Health Systems Management at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, in Pilani, India. He is also an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program of the U.S. Department of State.
