Patricia Deps is a Full Professor at the Department of Social Medicine/Medical School, and the Postgraduate Program of Infectious Diseases at the Federal University of Espírito Santo since 2002, located in Vitória, Brazil. Currently, she is the coordinator of the Project “Development of Artificial Intelligence for Management and Diagnosis of Hansen’s disease (Leprosy)”, Medical Image Bank, at Albert Einstein Hospital/PROADI-SUS (Brazilian Federal Government). Vice President for the Americas at the International Leprosy Association, member of the Scientific Review Committee of the Leprosy Research Initiative. Postdoctoral training at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Honorary Clinical Fellow at UCLH NHS Hospital for Tropical Disease (2008). Honorary visiting researcher at Biological and Anthropological Research Center at Bradford University (2014/2015), Honorary visiting researcher at Nanterre’s Hospital (France), Medical Anthropology, and Paleopathology at UVSQ-en-Yveline (France) (2018/2019).
