Dr Saba Lambert

Dr Saba Maria Lamber is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and is based in Ethiopia (ALERT) and new to Zimbabwe.

Saba was born in Ethiopia, spent her teenage years in Zimbabwe, and went to medical school in Dundee, Scotland. She then did her GP training in New Zealand, followed by a stint as an island GP back in Scotland. Her passion for leprosy was sparked after listening to a talk by Professor Diana Lockwood who went on to be her PhD supervisor on work in leprosy based in Ethiopia.

Saba's current work includes being a clinician, leprosy specialist, deputy editor of the Leprosy Review, ILEP Technical Commission, and being a WHO TAG leprosy member. She is interested in leprosy and skin NTDs.
