Ellie Delight

Ellie Delight is a PhD student at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where she is researching exposure pathways to environmentally transmitted pathogens in urban Brazil. Her work investigates how intersectional social determinants influence the risk of exposure to Leptospira spp. and Toxoplasma gondii in the context of a changing climate. Before starting her PhD, Ellie worked on an evidence synthesis project at MRC Unit The Gambia, identifying gaps and opportunities for data systems and economics to support pandemic preparedness against climate-sensitive infectious diseases. She holds an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Leeds.
