Laurentine Sumo

Laurentine Sumo is Associate Professor of Parasitology at the University of Ebolowa, Cameroon, and Senior Research Fellow at the Higher Institute for Scientific and Medical Research (ISM) in Cameroon.

Her major research interest encompasses the epidemiology of infectious Diseases, especially distribution mapping, risk factors and transmission dynamics, monitoring and evaluation, diagnostic tools development, as well as design of novel alternative strategies for elimination of these poverty-related diseases.

Prof Sumo is a Fellow of many scientific societies, including - but not limited to - the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), the Cameroon Society of Epidemiology (CaSE), and the International Epidemiological Association (IEA).
