Dr. Mohammad Ashraful Amin is currently pursuing his M.Sc. in clinical trial studies at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where he was granted this opportunity through the commonwealth distance learning master’s scholarships. Previously he completed medical professional MBBS degree at the Jahurul Islam Medical College & Hospital, Bangladesh. Subsequently, he pursued a master's degree in public health (MPH) with a specialization in epidemiology. His work is focused on the infectious diseases, vaccine research, clinical trials, and public health initiatives that are taking place in the region. He is currently employed at icddr,b, where he has made significant contributions to research on cholera, Shigella, ETEC, COVID-19, and vaccines, all of which have contributed to the advancement of public health. His achievements include publishing more than 35 scientific articles in reputed journals and reviewing around 90 scientific articles. His motivation lies in exchanging viewpoints and experiences with the varied members of RSTMH and initiating discussions on the key challenges in tropical medicine.
