Dr Kester Parian Maniaul
Dr Kester Parian Maniaul has more than ten years of experience in the field of public health. His career began as a medical officer in the local government unit in the Philippines. Then, he moved on to management roles with international organisations providing capacity-building, material and technical assistance in addressing public health issues in developing countries such as Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea, South Sudan and Syria.
He has completed his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Notre Dame of Marbel University, followed by Doctor of Medicine from Xavier University in the Philippines.
He also completed a postgraduate diploma in International Health, specialising in health systems management from University of the Philippines. He took his Master in Public Health (Global Health) with Merit from University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
His interests span from global health, health systems strengthening, Tuberculosis, HIV, health emergency response, community health, primary health care, and prison health.
