Dr Vaishali Verma

Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Bennett University (Times of India Group)

Dr. Vaishali Verma is an Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at Bennett University (The Times Group), India. She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Delhi, and her research is centered on developing novel diagnostics and therapeutics, particularly targeting emerging health threats such as carbapenem-resistant bacteria and viruses such as SARS-CoV-2. Using phage display technology, Dr. Verma works on the identification, production, and characterization of antibody leads, advancing the field of biotherapeutics and immunodiagnostics. During her tenure as Scientist-B at the University of Delhi South Campus, she played a key role in the development of a naïve phage-displayed human antibody library that yielded specific binders against several therapeutic targets including snake venom proteins. Dr. Verma’s contributions to biotechnology have earned her several accolades at national and international level, including an award from Antibody Society, USA.
