Matthew Willis

Medical student at Queen’s University, Belfast

Matthew Willis is a final year medical student at Queen’s University, Belfast. His primary areas of interest include eye care and Neglected Tropical Diseases and he is particularly interested in the intersection between the two. He completed his master’s degree in Global Health at Maastricht University and a semester-long exchange at Universidad del Rosario in Bogota studying Community Health. Matthew completed his research internship with the German Leprosy relief association and the Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre as part of his master’s degree. Matthew is currently continuing his collaboration with both organisations to complete more research into TB and Leprosy in India and Pakistan.
