Isaac Touloum
Isaac Touloum is a medical doctor and public health professional currently pursuing a master degree in Public Health at CIESPAC in Brazzaville. He completed his degree in General Medicine at the Protestant University in Congo in 2022. During his medical training, he conducted research on the knowledge, attitudes, and practices concerning malaria in pregnant women. Currently, his research focuses on the state of antibiotic resistance in the Congo, aiming to contribute to the fight against this growing global health threat.
Isaac combines his clinical expertise with a passion for global health initiatives. He works part-time in the Makelekele health district and as a clinician in a private clinic. As a researcher with the Canadian organization “Health Together,” he is involved in projects promoting the symptothermal method to assist women in planning conception or contraception.
Isaac has also participated in numerous missions with international agencies such as UNDP, WHO, and UNICEF, showcasing his commitment to health promotion and public health advocacy. Joining the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene as a Student Ambassador, he seeks to connect with professionals working on similar projects to foster collaboration and improve health outcomes globally.
As a bilingual professional fluent in French and English, Isaac brings a unique cultural sensitivity shaped by extensive travel and international collaboration. His work reflects a dedication to promoting equitable healthcare and addressing critical global health challenges.
