Oluwadamisi Tayo-Ladega
Oluwadamisi Tayo-Ladega is a PhD student of Public Health at the school of medical and health sciences, Bangor University, UK, where she is researching the impact of National Health Insurance Scheme on maternal healthcare, a case study of Lagos State, Nigeria. She has interest in public health research, Clinical research, community development, leadership and voluntary. Her interest in research came from Africa and her love towards making a positive impact to solving this problem. Currently, according to WHO 2021, Nigeria has the highest maternal mortality rate. This challenged her to lend her voice in raising awareness and to engage in research pertaining to the area. She loves to contribute to solving the problems of health education in the world at large. She is currently a lay member of Leeds East Research Ethics Committee, Yorkshire & The Humber. She is into clinical research with National Institutes of Health and Care research, UK. She has participated in local , national, and international conferences. Prior to her PhD, she did her masters in public and health promotion at the Bangor University, UK and she has been in the community development space for several years in Nigeria and beyond. She is also part of the movement for Universal health insurance 2030 and a researcher in diverse health-related projects in Nigeria and abroad.
