Professor Richard Culleton
I am currently Professor and Head of the Department of Molecular Parasitology, Proteo-Science Centre, Ehime University, Japan. My research interests primarily involve the genetics and genomics of malaria parasites, in addition to immunology, epidemiology and population genetics. My ultimate aim is to identify novel drug and vaccine targets of malaria parasites.
I began my working with malaria parasites at the University of Edinburgh in 2000. Since then, I have lived and worked in Osaka, Nagasaki and Ehime.
