Shrikant Vichare

Shrikant Vichare is a postgraduate student of the Laurea Magistralis in Molecular Biology and Genetics, at the Department of Biology and Biotechnology "Lazzaro Spallanzani ", Università di Pavia, Italy. His interests range from Life Sciences Research, Public Health Policy, Online Communications, and Leadership to Digital Photography. His experience in the Biotechnology sector, including R&D, Pre-clinical as well as Regulatory aspects of Biopharmaceuticals, prepared him to take up an advanced degree in Life Science. 

Besides his technical knowledge of laboratory-based research, he also developed strong communication and networking skills in the healthcare sector. His recent internship at the UN-based organization - International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Division of Human Health, Vienna, exemplifies his pursuit of collaborative research within industry, academia, and intergovernmental organizations. Additionally, he also volunteers as an online facilitator from time to time for the Soliya Global Connect community for their various programs. He is dedicated to making his contribution to spreading awareness about the various initiatives launched by RSTMH and helping the organization achieve its strategic goals for the next 5 years.
