Winifred Maduko

Winifred Maduko is a PhD student at the University of St Andrews, where she is researching on grassroots interventions for antibiotic stewardship and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Nigeria. Her research focuses on engaging communities in the co-production of locally tailored public health messages to promote responsible antibiotic use and good public health. With over six years of experience in the development sector, Winifred has worked across multiple domains, including community development, public health, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and good governance. She holds a Master's degree in Sustainable Development, where her research centred on sustainable water supply and management in Enugu State, Nigeria. Winifred’s work bridges academia and practice, driving community-led solutions to global health challenges.
