Dr Salim Mahmud Chowdhury
Dr Salim Mahmud Chowdhury is a renowned public health researcher and programme manager with outstanding educational and research records throughout. After graduating in medicine (MBBS) from Dhaka Medical College, he completed his Masters in Public Health (MPH) and PhD in Social Medicine from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. His areas of interest are Injury Prevention, Health System Strengthening, Maternal and Child Health, Social Determinants of Health, Neglected Tropical Diseases and Environmental Health.
Currently, Dr Salim works as the Director of Operations for the Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) and works for the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET) as the Bangladesh Country Consultant. He also worked with the World Health Organization (Regional Office for South-East Asia); Johns Hopkins International Injury Research Unit; and the World Health Organization, Country Office, Kenya. He is an Adjunct Faculty of the largest private university in Bangladesh. Dr Salim is the Editorial Board Member of two international public health journals.
