Dr Christopher Parry

Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine

Christopher Parry is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK. He has trained in medical microbiology, infectious diseases, and tropical medicine. He is Clinical Director for the Clinical Diagnostic Parasitology Laboratory at LSTM, Consultant Clinical Microbiologist at Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust, and visiting Professor at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, University of Oxford, UK. He teaches on the Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (DTMH) and MSc programmes in LSTM and in the School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nagasaki University, Japan. He has lived and worked for prolonged periods, in Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh the Philippines and Japan where he has conducted research to improve the management of patients with severe bacterial infections. His current main collaboration is with colleagues in OUCRU-Nepal, Kathmandu on the diagnosis and treatment of enteric fever.
