RSTMH Journals: New Associate Editors

18 Jul 2023

Earlier this year we launched an open call to recruit new Associate Editors for our two journals, Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (TRSTMH) and International Health.

Our aim was to increase the diversity of our editorial boards, both in terms of gender and geographic location, and to ensure the expertise across our boards reflects the varied topics seen in the submissions that our journals receive.

We received 43 applications in total, across 21 countries from 5 continents. Applicants ranged from PhD students to full professors, and came from academic, medical, policy, and industry backgrounds. From these 43 applications, we are delighted to have appointed 19 new Associate Editors (8 on TRSTMH and 11 on International Health) from 12 countries and 4 continents. You can find out more about our new Associate Editors below.

Thanks to everyone who applied for these positions – if you were unsuccessful on this occasion, please do keep an eye on our Newsletter and social media channels as there will be future openings announced as and when the need arises.
